Fourth International Conference on Recent Trends in Science, Technology, and Innovation (RTSTI-2025) Concludes Successfully

Pokhara, Kaski – March 22, 2025: The fourth edition of International Conference on Recent Trends in Science, Technology, and Innovation (RTSTI-2025) concluded successfully in Pokhara, held from March 19 to 21, 2025. The event brought together approximately 250 participants from eight countries, including researchers, academics, and industry experts. The conference showcased cutting-edge advancements across diverse fields such as physical sciences, chemical sciences, biological sciences, agricultural sciences, veterinary sciences, health and medical sciences, mathematical sciences, computer science, data science, environmental science, engineering, information technology, and artificial intelligence.

The conference featured 15 sessions based on 12 thematic areas, including 4 workshops, 6 keynote speeches, 12 full-length presentations, 10 invited presentations, 110 oral presentations, and 40 poster presentations. A total of 178 research papers were presented, highlighting the latest innovations and discoveries in science and technology.

During the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Bedraj K.C., Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University, emphasized the conference's significant contributions to the fields of science, technology, and innovation. Reflecting on 40 years of progress, Dr. K.C. praised the event for broadening the scope of research through its presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions. He commended the organizers for the seamless execution of the conference and lauded the participants for their valuable contributions. “You are the future of science, technology, and innovation,” he remarked, inspiring attendees to continue pushing the boundaries of research and innovation.

The technical sessions covered a wide range of topics. In the health and medical sciences session, research on controlling infectious diseases and addressing mental health challenges was presented. The biological sciences session featured studies on PCOS treatment, the discovery of new antibiotics, and the production of medicinal compounds. The climate change session highlighted research on extreme weather events in the Himalayas, flood forecasting, and Nepal's clean water challenges.

The digital technology and cybersecurity session explored AI applications, traffic violation detection technologies, and comparative studies on encryption techniques. Meanwhile, the energy and power systems engineering session showcased significant studies on solar-hydro microgrids, the feasibility of underground power lines, and the development of high-speed diodes.

In the chemical sciences session, discussions centered on the design of herbal compounds for cancer treatment and innovative techniques for medicinal substance extraction. The poster session featured groundbreaking research on uterine cancer diagnosis, ADHD awareness campaigns, spirulina production from agricultural waste, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria in river water.

The primary objective of the RTSTI conference was to provide a platform for emerging and experienced researchers, students, educators, innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and stakeholders to share achievements in science, technology, and innovation while envisioning future directions.

The conference was organized under the leadership of Pokhara University, in collaboration with the Gandaki Province Science and Technology Academy, the University Grants Commission, and 32 affiliated colleges of Pokhara University. The responsibility for organizing the next edition of the conference has been entrusted to the Institute of Engineering, Pashchimanchal Campus, Lamachaur, Pokhara.
